Fill Your House

MidCentury Design Obsessions

My favorite Instagram feature would have to be collections.  I abuse the feature.  I have ones for paintings, photography, seating, food, workouts, bucket lists, and motivations.

Today, I’m featuring furniture, art, and gadgets I want to fill my house with.

Paintings – I love the British artist Niki Hare.  Fill a room with her colorful oversized abstract work.  Most are too conservative with the size of the art they choose.  A small space is transformed by large pieces of abstract art.

Domus Chair by Artek – Designed in 1946 this stackable chair comes in four finishes. Natural birch is our favorite.  Image result for domus chair

Martin Stranka is a surrealist working in Prague I believe. I purchased this print from Martin’s site.  I wish I could have purchased the full price version.

Cutter Folding Seat –  We have a tiny entrance area.  So tiny we normally just use the garage. So until we can expand this seat does the trick.  Made by Skagerak, a family owned Scandinavia company. It is beautiful and compact.
